Come enjoy the sounds we all know and dance to
Twysted Vyne sits on Courthouse Square in the middle of the downtown Inverness entertainment district, and most nights of the week the room doubles as a stage. It isn't a concert hall — it's a wine bar and bistro where the music happens a few feet from your table, the kitchen stays open, and the sommelier's list is open right alongside it.
That mix is the point. You can come for a full dinner — seared ahi, hot honey duck, a chimichurri pork chop with the wine pairing printed under it — and stay through a jazz set. Or come late, order a charcuterie board and a flight, and listen. There's no cover and no ticket; seating is first come, first served, so earlier is better on Friday and Saturday.
Thursdays are the quietest of the music nights: Twysted Jazz from 6:30 to 9:30, the kind of set you can talk over. Friday and Saturday pick up from 7:30 with rotating featured artists and dancing. Wednesday is trivia with Gator Bowman from 7:00 — teams, prizes, and a full pour. And every Tuesday from September 8 through November 10, the stage belongs to Inverness Icon, Citrus County's live talent competition hosted by Bo Bice.
If you're coming from elsewhere in Citrus County — Crystal River, Homosassa, Lecanto, Hernando, Beverly Hills, Floral City — downtown Inverness is an easy drive and the square is walkable once you're here.
Live music runs most nights of the week in downtown Inverness. Twysted Jazz plays Thursdays from 6:30, live bands and dancing take over Friday and Saturday from 7:30, Wednesday is trivia night with Gator Bowman, and Tuesdays this fall belong to Inverness Icon. The room is the same either way — full dinner menu, sommelier wine list, and craft beer while the music plays.
No. Live music at Twysted Vyne is free to enjoy — there's no ticket and no cover. Seating is first come, first served, so on weekend music nights and Icon Tuesdays the tables near the stage go early.
Friday and Saturday lineups rotate every week and are posted on the Twysted Vyne Facebook page. Call (352) 419-4132 if you want to know who's on before you come down.
