Icon Tuesdays on Courthouse Square

For ten Tuesdays this fall, Twysted Vyne stops being only a wine bar and becomes the home venue for Citrus County's talent competition. Contestants take the stage in front of a full room, a host with a national name, and whoever came down to Main Street for dinner that night. There's no cover to watch and no ticket at the door.

What makes it work is that it isn't staged in a hall. It's a bistro — tables, candlelight, a sommelier's wine list, and the full menu running the whole time. People come for the chimichurri pork chop or a charcuterie board and a flight, and end up staying through the last performance. That's the night: dinner and a show, in the literal sense.

Coming for an Icon night

Seating is first come, first served and Tuesdays fill early in the season, so come on the earlier side if you want a table near the stage. The bistro is at 103 W. Main Street on Courthouse Square, with free street and lot parking around the square. Call (352) 419-4132 with questions about the night.

Season 3 crowns its Icon at the Grand Finale on Tuesday, November 17, at the Valerie Theatre a few blocks away. After the season, Tuesdays return to the regular rhythm — and the rest of the week keeps its live music schedule throughout.
